So the trouble with living in basically two places is that sometimes on amazon you forget to change your shipping address. That's exactly what happened to me. I had shipped my pumpkin puree that I bought online to home, like in Orange County, California, but currently I'm in Northern California for school.
I had a couple of my friends who came up this past weekend bring some up for me and the cans of pumpkin puree are HUGE. 29 oz. It'll be a lot of pumpkin stuff this fall. Cupcakes, cookies, muffins, bread, pie, and whatever else I can think of.
These are were really easy to put together; I had just made 1/4 of the recipe since I know that I just made another pumpkin recipe for Sweet Melissa Sundays.
They were pretty good. This week was just really hard school wise for me. Just a lot of stuff that needs to get done in a short amount of time. I am not really getting the 8 hours suggested, but then again, who does? Back to more homework, club stuff, and sleep later on tonight.
The recipe for this month's Cupcake Club is found on pages 236 of Martha Stewart's Cupcake book. Thanks to Kim of What the Whisk for choosing this.
Your cupcakes are so cute. I'm glad you were able to make them. Thanks for baking along with me this month.
ReplyDeletebaking definitely trumps sleep in my book! =)
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable. I baked also but mine don't compare in cuteness. I have to learn from you how to be more creative.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Enjoy all that pumpkin puree.
ReplyDeleteGreat decorations, and I hope things calm down for you soon. I guess life sometimes gets in the way of baking, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are perfect...my teens would love cupcakes with these decorations on them! Very cute. I must do more shopping to locate fun stuff like this!
ReplyDeleteI heard about this pumpkin shortage this year and I shrugged it off. "Houston ALWAYS has plenty of canned pumpkin" I said. PAH! Couldn't find ONE CAN. Hive fives to your friends for bringing you some. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that they would be taste testers ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat job!! I love how you decorated yours with the orange and black!! They really look great and I'm sure they were a great treat to have while studying!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd rather bake than sleep any day of the week.
ReplyDeleteThis is cute! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteGreat cupcakes! Good luck during a hectic time of your life.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the way that you decorated them!
ReplyDeleteThose are sooo fun! Popped in to say hi!
ReplyDeletePretty little cupcakes. They were tasty, weren't they.
ReplyDeleteI love the sprinkles! I think I've seen similar ones at Crate & Barrel or maybe Williams-Sonoma. So festive!!
ReplyDeleteOooh i love your decorations!! and i'm SO jealous of you massive tins of pumpkin puree!! I know we're suffering the 'great pumpkin crisis' of 2009, but it always feels that way over here in london! I can't wait to see all the pumpkin goodies you come up with to get through the puree! x
ReplyDeleteYUM! They sound great.
ReplyDeleteI am totally digging your cupcakes! Fun decorations!
ReplyDeleteI liked these too and they taste better I think if you increase the spices and pumpkin puree.
Thanks for baking along with us Nina!
xoxo
